This photonovel was created at the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria by a group of immigrant women. The women collaboratively chose the topic of nutrition as their main health concern upon migration to Canada. After a lesson from a public health nurse on nutrition, the women wrote the story and did the acting and photography to create the engaging health related photonovel. This project won the Canadian Population and Public Health Masters Research Award (2006) and was shortlisted for the Language and Literacy Researchers of Canada Masters Research Award (2008).
